Memorial Scholarship Fund On November 24, 2007, PFC Philip Diaferio passed away three months shy of his 21st birthday due to a car accident while home on leave from the US Army for Thanksgiving. He was serving our country in Iraq and taken from us unexpectedly. Philip was the son of Greg Diaferio, EYFL's President and Medic and Leni Griffiths. As a tribute to Phil, a Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up to honor him. All proceeds will be used towards a scholarship granted to a selected graduating senior from Union-Endicott High School.
